Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

People give birth to people. But the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.

I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.For the flesh desires what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit desires what is against the flesh; these are opposed to each other, so that you don’t do what you want.But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity,idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions,envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I tell you about these things in advance— as I told you before— that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

in order that the law’s requirement would be accomplished in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.For those who live according to the flesh think about the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, about the things of the Spirit.For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set of the Spirit is life and peace.For the mind-set of the flesh is hostile to God because it does not submit itself to God’s law, for it is unable to do so.Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God lives in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.I will place My Spirit within you and cause you to follow My statutes and carefully observe My ordinances.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come.

But anyone joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

And I will give them one heart and put a new spirit within them; I will remove their heart of stone from their bodies and give them a heart of flesh,so they may follow My statutes, keep My ordinances, and practice them. Then they will be My people, and I will be their God.

How can a person be justified before God? How can one born of woman be pure?

Who can produce something pure from what is impure? No one!

for if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also.

The first man was from the earth and made of dust; the second man is from heaven.Like the man made of dust, so are those who are made of dust; like the heavenly man, so are those who are heavenly.And just as we have borne the image of the man made of dust, we will also bear the image of the heavenly man.Brothers, I tell you this: Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, and corruption cannot inherit incorruption.

God saw how corrupt the earth was, for every creature had corrupted its way on the earth.

You were also circumcised in Him with a circumcision not done with hands, by putting off the body of flesh, in the circumcision of the Messiah.

For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh. For the desire to do what is good is with me, but there is no ability to do it.

God, create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

What is man, that he should be pure, or one born of woman, that he should be righteous?If God puts no trust in His holy ones and the heavens are not pure in His sight,how much less one who is revolting and corrupt, who drinks injustice like water?
