Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

People give birth to people. But the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.

Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit.

That which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit.

I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot.Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.

And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh,that they may walk in my statutes and keep my rules and obey them. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

How then can man be in the right before God? How can he who is born of woman be pure?

Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? There is not one.

For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
