耶穌上前對門徒說：「天上地下所有的權柄都交給我了。

因此，上帝將祂升為至尊，賜給祂超乎萬名之上的名，使一切天上的、地上的和地底下的，無不屈膝跪拜在耶穌的名下，無不口稱耶穌基督是主，將榮耀歸於父上帝。

父愛你們，因為你們一直愛我，並且相信我來自上帝。我從父那裡來到這個世界，現在我要離開這個世界回到父那裡。」

上帝曾用這大能使基督從死裡復活，使基督在天上坐在自己右邊，遠遠超越今生永世所有執政的、掌權的、有能力的、作主宰的和一切的權勢。

祂的衣服和大腿上都寫著祂的名號：「萬王之王，萬主之主。」

我對你們說地上的事，你們尚且不信，要是說天上的事，你們怎麼會信呢？除了從天上降下來的人子以外，沒有人到過天上。

祂雖然是在我以後來的，我就是給祂解鞋帶也不配。」

上帝藉著萬物的主宰——耶穌基督把平安的福音傳給以色列人。

舊約有敬拜的禮儀和地上的聖幕。

我就是天上降下來的生命之糧，人吃了這糧，必永遠活著。我將要賜下的糧就是我的肉，是為了讓世人得到生命。」

約翰為祂做見證的時候，高聲喊道：「這就是我以前所說的那位，『祂在我以後來卻比我位分高，因為祂在我之前已經存在了。』」

這就是我以前所說的那位，『有一個人在我以後來卻比我位分高，因為祂在我之前已經存在了。』

因此聖經上說：「祂升上高天時，帶著許多俘虜，將恩賜賞給眾人。」既然說「升上」，豈不表示祂曾經降到地上嗎？降下的是祂，升到諸天之上的也是祂，祂充滿萬物。

父如何使死人復活、賜生命給他們，子也照樣想賜生命給誰，就賜給誰。父不審判人，祂將審判的事全交給子，叫人尊敬子如同尊敬父。不尊敬子的，就是不尊敬差子來的父。「我實實在在地告訴你們，誰聽從我的話，又信差我來的那位，誰就有永生，不被定罪，已經出死入生了。我實實在在地告訴你們，時候快到了，現在就是，死人將聽見上帝兒子的聲音，聽見的將存活。

基督已經升到天上，坐在上帝的右邊，眾天使、掌權的、有能力的都服從了祂。

這件事是一個象徵，告訴現今的世代：所獻的禮物和祭物都不能使敬拜的人良心純全，因為這些不過是關於飲食和各樣潔淨禮儀的外在規條，等新秩序的時代一到，便不再有效了。

第一個人亞當來自地上，是用塵土造的，但第二個人基督來自天上。塵土所造的那位是什麼樣，屬地的人也是什麼樣；從天而來的那位是什麼樣，屬天的人也是什麼樣。
