And they came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified— behold, He is baptizing, and all are coming to Him!”

就来见约翰，对他说：“拉比，从前同你在约旦河的东边，你所见证的那位，你看，他在施洗，众人都到他那里去了。”

就来见约翰，对他说：“拉比，从前同你在约旦河的东边，你所见证的那位，你看，他在施洗，众人都到他那里去了。”

于是门徒来见约翰，说：“老师，你看，以前在约旦河对岸和你在一起、你为祂做见证的那位在给人施洗，众人都去祂那里了！”

他们来到约翰那里，对他说：“拉比，你看，从前和你在约旦河东，你为他作见证的那一位，他也在施洗，众人都到他那里去了。”

他们就到约翰那里，对他说：“拉比，你看，以前与你在约旦河对岸的，就是你所见证的那一位，他也在施洗，而且大家都到他那里去了。”

就來見約翰，說：「拉比，從前同你在約旦河外、你所見證的那位，現在施洗，眾人都往他那裏去了。」

就來見約翰，對他說：「拉比，從前同你在約旦河的東邊，你所見證的那位，你看，他在施洗，眾人都到他那裏去了。」

於是門徒來見約翰，說：「老師，你看，以前在約旦河對岸和你在一起、你為祂做見證的那位在給人施洗，眾人都去祂那裡了！」

遂詣約翰曰、夫子、昔偕爾於約但外、爾所證者、今施洗、而人皆就之、

來就約翰曰、拉比、昔偕爾在約但外、爾所證者、今施洗而眾就之、

因共謁如望曰：『夫子曩在約但河外、所為作證者、今亦授洗、人盡趨之。』

They came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan— the one you testified about— look, he is baptizing, and everyone is going to him.”

They came to John and here is what they said to him.“ Rabbi, that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan River is baptizing people. He is the one you told us about. Everyone is going to him.”

And they came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness— look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him.”

So John’s disciples came to him and said,“ Rabbi, the man you met on the other side of the Jordan River, the one you identified as the Messiah, is also baptizing people. And everybody is going to him instead of coming to us.”

So they came to John and told him,“ Rabbi, the one you testified about, and who was with you across the Jordan, is baptizing— and everyone is going to him.”

And they came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified— behold, He is baptizing and all the people are coming to Him.”

And they came unto John, and said to him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond the Jordan, to whom thou hast borne witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

So they came to John and told him,“ Rabbi, the One you testified about, and who was with you across the Jordan, is baptizing— and everyone is flocking to Him.”

And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all[ men] come to him.

So they came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, the one who was with you on the other side of the Jordan River, about whom you testified– see, he is baptizing, and everyone is flocking to him!”

They came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, he baptizes, and everyone is coming to him.”

This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves,“ You see that you are accomplishing nothing. Look, the world has gone after Him!”

I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall take an oath.

But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?For when one says,“ I am of Paul,” and another,“ I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal?Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one?

Again, I saw that for all toil and every skillful work a man is envied by his neighbor. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.

Moreover you see and hear that not only at Ephesus, but throughout almost all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are not gods which are made with hands.So not only is this trade of ours in danger of falling into disrepute, but also the temple of the great goddess Diana may be despised and her magnificence destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worship.”

John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying,“ This was He of whom I said,‘ He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’”

Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain,“ The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:“ God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

John answered them, saying,“ I baptize with water, but there stands One among you whom you do not know.It is He who, coming after me, is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.”These things were done in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said,“ Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!This is He of whom I said,‘ After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”And John bore witness, saying,“ I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me,‘ Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples.And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said,“ Behold the Lamb of God!”

If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation.”

O You who hear prayer, To You all flesh will come.

idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But two men had remained in the camp: the name of one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad. And the Spirit rested upon them. Now they were among those listed, but who had not gone out to the tabernacle; yet they prophesied in the camp.And a young man ran and told Moses, and said,“ Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.”So Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, one of his choice men, answered and said,“ Moses my Lord, forbid them!”Then Moses said to him,“ Are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the LORD’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!”

That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him,“ Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”

As many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh, these would compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.For not even those who are circumcised keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh.

greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men,‘ Rabbi, Rabbi.’
