There are those who rebel against the light; they do not know its ways and they do not stay on its paths.Before daybreak the murderer rises up; he kills the poor and the needy; in the night he is like a thief.And the eye of the adulterer watches for the twilight, thinking,‘ No eye can see me,’ and covers his face with a mask.In the dark the robber breaks into houses, but by day they shut themselves in; they do not know the light.For all of them, the morning is to them like deep darkness; they are friends with the terrors of darkness.

But the path of the righteous is like the bright morning light, growing brighter and brighter until full day.

The Israelites hate anyone who arbitrates at the city gate; they despise anyone who speaks honestly.Therefore, because you make the poor pay taxes on their crops and exact a grain tax from them, you will not live in the houses you built with chiseled stone, nor will you drink the wine from the fine vineyards you planted.

For you hate instruction and reject my words.

The scorner does not love one who corrects him; he will not go to the wise.
