But the path of the just[ is] as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.Forasmuch therefore as your treading[ is] upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.

Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat,[ There is] yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.

And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;

A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.
