this man came to Jesus at night and said to Him,“ Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”

He came to Jesus at night and said,“ Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”

He came to Jesus at night and said,“ Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. We know that God is with you. If he weren’t, you couldn’t do the signs you are doing.”

After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus.“ Rabbi,” he said,“ we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.”

“ Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a Man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know—

You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

But the testimony I have is greater than the testimony of John; for the works which the Father has given Me to accomplish— the very works that I do— testify about Me, that the Father has sent Me.

Therefore some of the Pharisees were saying,“ This man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.” But others were saying,“ How can a man who is a sinner perform such signs?” And there was dissension among them.

The man answered and said to them,“ Well, here is the amazing thing, that you do not know where He is from, and yet He opened my eyes!We know that God does not listen to sinners; but if someone is God fearing and does His will, He listens to him.Since the beginning of time it has never been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a person born blind.If this man were not from God, He could do nothing.”

saying,“ What are we to do with these men? For the fact that a noteworthy miracle has taken place through them is apparent to all who live in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.But so that it will not spread any further among the people, let’s warn them not to speak any longer to any person in this name.”

Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees convened a council meeting, and they were saying,“ What are we doing in regard to the fact that this man is performing many signs?If we let Him go on like this, all the people will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take over both our place and our nation.”

And they* sent their disciples to Him, along with the Herodians, saying,“ Teacher, we know that You are truthful and teach the way of God in truth, and do not care what anyone thinks; for You are not partial to anyone.

But many of the crowd believed in Him; and they were saying,“ When the Christ comes, He will not perform more signs than those which this man has done, will He?”

But though He had performed so many signs in their sight, they still were not believing in Him.

And Jesus turned and saw them following, and* said to them,“ What are you seeking?” They said to Him,“ Rabbi( which translated means Teacher), where are You staying?”

Jesus* said to her,“ Mary!” She turned and* said to Him in Hebrew,“ Rabboni!”( which means, Teacher).

And they came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified— behold, He is baptizing and all the people are coming to Him.”

Nevertheless many, even of the rulers, believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, so that they would not be excommunicated from the synagogue;for they loved the approval of people rather than the approval of God.

If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well.

Then Gideon took ten men from his servants and did as the Lord had spoken to him; and because he was too afraid of his father’s household and the men of the city to do it by day, he did it by night.

Nicodemus( the one who came to Him before, being one of them)* said to them,“ Our Law does not judge the person unless it first hears from him and knows what he is doing, does it?”

Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, A people in whose heart is My Law; Do not fear the taunting of people, Nor be terrified of their abuses.

Now after these things Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but a secret one for fear of the Jews, requested of Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate granted permission. So he came and took away His body.Nicodemus, who had first come to Him by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred litras weight.

They came and* said to Him,“ Teacher, we know that You are truthful and do not care what anyone thinks; for You are not partial to anyone, but You teach the way of God in truth. Is it permissible to pay a poll tax to Caesar, or not?

and that most of the brothers and sisters, trusting in the Lord because of my imprisonment, have far more courage to speak the word of God without fear.
