所以現在，那些在基督耶穌裡的人，就不被定罪了，

「我確確實實地告訴你們：誰聽我的話，又相信派我來的那一位，誰就有永恆的生命。他不但不被定罪，而且已經出死入生了。

那有了神兒子的，就有了這生命；那沒有神兒子的，就沒有這生命。

這樣，我們既然因信稱義，就藉著我們的主耶穌基督與神和好了；

到底誰能定我們的罪呢？基督耶穌是已經死了的那一位——但更要說，他已經復活了，而且現今在神的右邊，還為我們代求！

你們要當心，不要拒絕向你們說話的那一位。要知道，那些拒絕了在地上警告他們的，尚且無法逃脫懲罰，更何況我們背棄從天上警告我們的那一位呢！

從來沒有人看見神，只有在父懷裡的那位獨生子——神，他將神表明了出來。

但這些事被記下來，是要你們相信耶穌就是基督、是神的兒子；並且使你們因著信，就奉他的名有生命。

要知道，我父的旨意正是：所有看見子而信他的人都得到永恆的生命，並且在末日，我將要使他復活。」

那麼，如果我們忽視了如此偉大的救恩，又怎麼能逃脫報應呢？這救恩起初由主傳講，後來由那些聽見的人向我們證實。

信從子的人，就有永恆的生命；但是不肯信從子的人，見不到生命，而且神的震怒也停留在他身上。
