「我實實在在地告訴你們，誰聽從我的話，又信差我來的那位，誰就有永生，不被定罪，已經出死入生了。

人有上帝的兒子，就有這生命；沒有上帝的兒子，就沒有這生命。

我們既然因信而被稱為義人，就藉著我們的主耶穌基督與上帝和好了。

誰能定他們有罪呢？基督耶穌已經替他們死了，而且祂還從死裡復活了，如今在上帝的右邊替我們祈禱。

你們必須謹慎，切勿拒絕對你們說話的上帝。因為以色列人違背了在地上警戒他們的人，尚且逃脫不了懲罰，何況我們違背從天上警戒我們的上帝呢？

從來沒有人見過上帝，只有父懷中的獨一上帝把祂顯明出來。

而記載這些事的目的是為了使你們相信耶穌就是基督，是上帝的兒子，並且使你們這些信祂的人可以靠祂的名得到生命。

因為我父的旨意是要叫一切看見兒子並相信的人得到永生，在末日，我要叫他們復活。」

我們若忽略了這麼大的救恩，怎能逃避懲罰呢？這救恩首先由主親口宣講出來，後來由聽見的人向我們證實了。

信子的人有永生；不信子的人得不到永生，上帝的烈怒常在他身上。」
