But the righteousness that comes from faith speaks like this: Do not say in your heart,“ Who will go up to heaven?” that is, to bring Christ down

No one has ever seen God. The one and only Son, who is himself God and is at the Father’s side— he has revealed him.

For it was not David who ascended into the heavens, but he himself says: The Lord declared to my Lord,‘ Sit at my right hand

The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven.

Jesus knew that the Father had given everything into his hands, that he had come from God, and that he was going back to God.

But what does“ he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower parts of the earth?The one who descended is also the one who ascended far above all the heavens, to fill all things.

Then what if you were to observe the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?

The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is from the earth is earthly and speaks in earthly terms. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

They were saying,“ Isn’t this Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say,‘ I have come down from heaven’?”

So the Lord Jesus, after speaking to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word by the accompanying signs.]

For the bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

It is not in heaven so that you have to ask,‘ Who will go up to heaven, get it for us, and proclaim it to us so that we may follow it?’

not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God. He has seen the Father.

I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”His disciples said,“ Look, now you’re speaking plainly and not using any figurative language.Now we know that you know everything and don’t need anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came from God.”

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which he purchased with his own blood.

Now, Father, glorify me in your presence with that glory I had with you before the world existed.

which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way.

Jesus said to them,“ If God were your Father, you would love me, because I came from God and I am here. For I didn’t come on my own, but he sent me.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread he will live forever. The bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”

teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
