What I’m about to tell you is true. We speak about what we know. We are witnesses about what we have seen. But still you people do not accept what we say.

我切實語爾、吾人所知、吾人言之；吾人所見、吾人證之；而爾曹獨不納吾證。

Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony.

Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

I assure you, we tell you what we know and have seen, and yet you won’t believe our testimony.

“ Truly I tell you, we speak what we know and we testify to what we have seen, but you do not accept our testimony.

Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know and testify of what we have seen, and you people do not accept our testimony.

Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that which we know, and bear witness of that which we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

“ I assure you: We speak what We know and We testify to what We have seen, but you do not accept Our testimony.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

I tell you the solemn truth, we speak about what we know and testify about what we have seen, but you people do not accept our testimony.

Most certainly I tell you, we speak that which we know, and testify of that which we have seen, and you don’t receive our witness.

Jesus answered,“ What I teach is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.

No one has ever seen God. But the One and Only is God and is at the Father’s side. The one at the Father’s side has shown us what God is like.

I am telling you what I saw when I was with my Father. You are doing what you have heard from your father.”

I did not speak on my own. The Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have said.

All day long I have held out my hands to welcome a stubborn nation. They lead sinful lives. They go where their evil thoughts take them.

So Jesus said,“ You will lift up the Son of Man. Then you will know that I am he. You will also know that I do nothing on my own. I speak just what the Father has taught me.The one who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, because I always do what pleases him.”

Jesus answered,“ Even if I am a witness about myself, what I say does count. I know where I came from. And I know where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going.

The god of this world has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They can’t see the light of the good news that makes Christ’s glory clear. Christ is the likeness of God.

Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. The words you hear me say are not my own. They belong to the Father who sent me.

Who has believed what we’ve been saying? Who has seen the Lord’ s saving power?

“ My Father has given all things to me. The Father is the only one who knows who the Son is. And the only ones who know the Father are the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to make the Father known.”

When I came to save you, why didn’t anyone welcome me? When I called out to you, why didn’t anyone answer me? Wasn’t I powerful enough to set you free? Wasn’t I strong enough to save you? I dry up the sea with a single command. I turn rivers into a desert. Then fish rot because they do not have any water. They die because they are thirsty.

I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me. But if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.

May grace and peace come to you from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness, so what he has shown can be trusted. He was the first to rise from the dead. He rules over the kings of the earth. Glory and power belong to Jesus Christ who loves us! He has set us free from our sins by pouring out his blood for us.

Jesus replied,“ What I’m about to tell you is true. No one can see God’s kingdom unless they are born again.”

“ Here is what I command you to write to the church in Laodicea. Here are the words of Jesus, who is the Amen. What he speaks is faithful and true. He rules over what God has created. He says,

Jesus had performed so many signs in front of them. But they still would not believe in him.This happened as Isaiah the prophet had said it would. He had said,“ Lord, who has believed what we’ve been saying? Who has seen the Lord’s saving power?”( Isaiah 53:1)

“ Jerusalem! Jerusalem! You kill the prophets and throw stones in order to kill those who are sent to you. Many times I have wanted to gather your people together. I have wanted to be like a hen who gathers her chicks under her wings. And you would not let me!

No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven. He is the Son of Man.

“ If I am a witness about myself, what I say is not true.There is someone else who is a witness in my favor. And I know that what he says about me is true.“ You have sent people to John the Baptist. He has been a witness to the truth.I do not accept what a person says. I only talk about what John says so that you can be saved.John was like a lamp that burned and gave light. For a while you chose to enjoy his light.“ What I say about myself is more important than what John says about me. I am doing the works the Father gave me to finish. These works are a witness that the Father has sent me.The Father who sent me is himself a witness about me. You have never heard his voice. You have never seen what he really looks like.And his word does not live in you. That’s because you do not believe the one he sent.You study the Scriptures carefully. You study them because you think they will give you eternal life. The Scriptures you study are a witness about me.But you refuse to come to me and receive life.

He came to what was his own. But his own people did not accept him.

I made him a witness to the nations. He became a ruler and commander over them.

He is a witness to what he has seen and heard. But no one accepts what he says.Anyone who has accepted it has said,‘ Yes. God is truthful.’The one whom God has sent speaks God’s words. That’s because God gives the Holy Spirit without limit.

I saw the Lord speaking to me.‘ Quick!’ he said.‘ Leave Jerusalem at once. The people here will not accept what you tell them about me.’

Jesus answered,“ What I’m about to tell you is true. No one can enter God’s kingdom unless they are born with water and the Holy Spirit.

They decided to meet Paul on a certain day. At that time even more people came to the place where he was staying. From morning until evening, he told them about God’s kingdom. Using the Law of Moses and the Prophets, he tried to get them to believe in Jesus.Some believed what he said, and others did not.They didn’t agree with one another. They began to leave after Paul had made a final statement. He said,“ The Holy Spirit was right when he spoke to your people long ago. Through Isaiah the prophet the Spirit said,“‘ Go to your people. Say to them,“ You will hear but never understand. You will see but never know what you are seeing.”These people’s hearts have become stubborn. They can barely hear with their ears. They have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes. They might hear with their ears. They might understand with their hearts. They might turn, and then I would heal them.’( Isaiah 6:9, 10)

“ My Father has given all things to me. The Father is the only one who knows the Son. And the only ones who know the Father are the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to make him known.
