爾曹自知當如何效我、蓋我儕於爾中、未嘗妄為、亦未素餐於人、惟是勞苦、晝夜操作、免累爾一人、我儕如此、非因無權使爾供我、乃為爾自作模範、使爾效我儕、

乃此兩手、供我與偕我者之所需、此爾所知、

抑我與巴拿巴、不得不作工乎、

兄弟乎、我儕傳天主福音於爾之時、當念我儕勞苦、晝夜工作、不累爾一人、

因其同藝、遂偕居合作、二人製幕為業、
