聞耶穌已自猶太至加利利、遂趨謁之、懇往救其子、蓋瀕危矣。

斐理伯遇納大那、告之曰：『摩西書及諸先知所預言者、我儕今已遇之、即若瑟之子、納匝勒人耶穌是已。』納大那曰：『納匝勒焉有良產？』斐理伯曰：『盍來一觀。』耶穌見納大那來訪、指之曰：『此誠義塞人、心無詭譎者！』納大那曰：『汝何由知我？』耶穌曰：『斐理伯未招汝、汝憩於鳳果樹下時、予已見汝、』納大那曰：『辣卞誠天主之子、義塞之君也。』耶穌曰：『予第謂見汝於鳳果樹之下、而汝已起信耶？汝所睹將有大於斯者。』既又謂之曰：『我實語爾、爾曹將見上天洞開、而天主之神使升降於人子之上焉。』第三日、加利利之嘉納村、有設婚筵者、耶穌之母在焉；

多默應曰：『吾主！吾天主！』

是為耶穌顯靈蹟之始、行於加利利之嘉納村；聲譽日著、門徒乃信焉。

復前行、又見兄弟二人、即慈伯德子雅各伯暨弟若望、與父慈伯德修網舟中；召之、亦即捨網謝父而從。

睹此一網所得之魚、舉不勝驚愕也。耶穌謂西門曰：『毋懼！今而後汝當為生靈之漁父矣。』
