其他的门徒对他说：“我们已经见过主了。”多马对他们说：“除非我亲眼看见他手上的钉痕，用我的指头探入那钉痕，又用我的手探入他的肋旁，我决不相信。”

说了这话，就把手和脚给他们看。

耶稣回答他们：“唉！不信的世代啊！我跟你们在一起到几时呢？我要忍受你们到几时呢？把他带到我这里来吧。”

父亲怎样怜恤儿子，耶和华也照样怜恤敬畏他的人；因为他知道我们的本体，记得我们不过是尘土。

耶稣说：“唉！这又不信又乖谬的世代啊！我要跟你们在一起到几时呢？我要忍受你们到几时呢？把孩子带到我这里来吧。”

我们主的恩典，随着在基督耶稣里的信心和爱心，在我身上越发增加。“基督耶稣降世，为要拯救罪人。”这话是可信的，是值得完全接纳的。在罪人中我是个罪魁。可是，我竟然蒙了怜悯，好让基督耶稣在我这个罪魁身上，显明他完全的忍耐，给后来信他得永生的人作榜样。

律法的出现，是要叫过犯增多；然而罪在哪里增多，恩典就更加增多了。

他却有怜悯，赦免罪孽，没有把他们灭绝，并且多次抑制自己的怒气，没有完全宣泄他的烈怒。

耶稣说：“唉！这不信又乖谬的世代啊！我跟你们在一起，忍受你们，要到几时呢？把你儿子带到这里来吧！”
