That Sunday evening the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them!“ Peace be with you,” he said.

那日，也就是一周的头一天，傍晚的时候，门徒们所在地方的门户已经关上了，因为他们怕那些犹太人。耶稣出现了，站在他们当中，对他们说：“愿你们平安！”

是為週首。既暮、諸徒以懼猶太人故、共聚一室、諸戶緊扃。而耶穌進立其中曰：『賜爾平安！』

On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said,“ Peace be with you!”

When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

Eight days later the disciples were together again, and this time Thomas was with them. The doors were locked; but suddenly, as before, Jesus was standing among them.“ Peace be with you,” he said.

“ I am leaving you with a gift— peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Again he said,“ Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”

And just as they were telling about it, Jesus himself was suddenly standing there among them.“ Peace be with you,” he said.But the whole group was startled and frightened, thinking they were seeing a ghost!“ Why are you frightened?” he asked.“ Why are your hearts filled with doubt?Look at my hands. Look at my feet. You can see that it’s really me. Touch me and make sure that I am not a ghost, because ghosts don’t have bodies, as you see that I do.”As he spoke, he showed them his hands and his feet.Still they stood there in disbelief, filled with joy and wonder. Then he asked them,“ Do you have anything here to eat?”They gave him a piece of broiled fish,and he ate it as they watched.Then he said,“ When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.”Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.And he said,“ Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day.It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem:‘ There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’You are witnesses of all these things.“ And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.”

But no one had the courage to speak favorably about him in public, for they were afraid of getting in trouble with the Jewish leaders.

He was seen by Peter and then by the Twelve.

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

This letter is from John to the seven churches in the province of Asia. Grace and peace to you from the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come; from the sevenfold Spirit before his throne;

I listen carefully to what God the Lord is saying, for he speaks peace to his faithful people. But let them not return to their foolish ways.Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, so our land will be filled with his glory.Unfailing love and truth have met together. Righteousness and peace have kissed!

For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”

Later I went to visit Shemaiah son of Delaiah and grandson of Mehetabel, who was confined to his home. He said,“ Let us meet together inside the Temple of God and bolt the doors shut. Your enemies are coming to kill you tonight.”But I replied,“ Should someone in my position run from danger? Should someone in my position enter the Temple to save his life? No, I won’t do it!”

For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us.

Then Abraham took a tenth of all he had captured in battle and gave it to Melchizedek. The name Melchizedek means“ king of justice,” and king of Salem means“ king of peace.”

So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy.

And now may God, who gives us his peace, be with you all. Amen.

May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

I have seen what they do, but I will heal them anyway! I will lead them. I will comfort those who mourn,bringing words of praise to their lips. May they have abundant peace, both near and far,” says the Lord, who heals them.

Peace be with you, dear brothers and sisters, and may God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you love with faithfulness.

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.

Still later he appeared to the eleven disciples as they were eating together. He rebuked them for their stubborn unbelief because they refused to believe those who had seen him after he had been raised from the dead.

Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live.When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”Judas( not Judas Iscariot, but the other disciple with that name) said to him,“ Lord, why are you going to reveal yourself only to us and not to the world at large?”Jesus replied,“ All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.

If it turns out to be a worthy home, let your blessing stand; if it is not, take back the blessing.
