告訴使徒們這些事的，是茉大拉的瑪麗亞、約亞娜、雅各的母親瑪麗亞，還有其餘和她們在一起的婦女。

耶穌對她們說：「不要怕！去告訴我的弟兄們，要他們到加利利去。在那裡，他們將見到我。」

她去告訴那些向來與耶穌在一起的人，他們正在悲傷、哀哭。他們聽見耶穌活了，又被瑪麗亞看到了，卻是不相信。這些事以後，門徒中有兩個人往鄉下去。在路上，耶穌以另一種形像向他們顯現。他們去告訴其他的門徒，那些門徒也不相信他們。

還有，我們中間有些婦女也使我們驚訝：她們清早到了墓穴，卻找不到他的遺體，回來還說她們看到了天使的異象，而天使說耶穌還活著。

在一週頭一天的清晨，天還黑的時候，茉大拉的瑪麗亞就來到墓穴那裡，看見那石頭已經從墓穴被挪開了。
