二天神謂瑪麗曰：『女子、何泣為？』對曰：『以人移去吾主、不知置諸何處。』

They asked her,“ Woman, why are you crying?”“ They have taken my Lord away,” she said,“ and I don’t know where they have put him.”

They said to her,“ Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them,“ They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.”

“ Dear woman, why are you crying?” the angels asked her.“ Because they have taken away my Lord,” she replied,“ and I don’t know where they have put him.”

They said to her,“ Woman, why are you crying?”“ Because they’ve taken away my Lord,” she told them,“ and I don’t know where they’ve put him.”

And they* said to her,“ Woman, why are you weeping?” She* said to them,“ Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they put Him.”

Then they said to her,“ Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them,“ Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.”

And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

They said to her,“ Woman, why are you crying?”“ Because they’ve taken away my Lord,” she told them,“ and I don’t know where they’ve put Him.”

And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

They said to her,“ Woman, why are you weeping?” Mary replied,“ They have taken my Lord away, and I do not know where they have put him!”

They asked her,“ Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them,“ Because they have taken away my Lord, and I don’t know where they have laid him.”

He asked her,“ Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said,“ Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” (niv)

So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said,“ They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!” (niv)

“ Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied.“ My hour has not yet come.” (niv)

He asked them,“ What are you discussing together as you walk along?” They stood still, their faces downcast. (niv)

Then Paul answered,“ Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” (niv)

Her husband Elkanah would say to her,“ Hannah, why are you weeping? Why don’t you eat? Why are you downhearted? Don’t I mean more to you than ten sons?” (niv)

When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her,“ Woman, here is your son,” (niv)

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.“ You heard me say,‘ I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. (niv)

Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world.So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. (niv)

Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight. I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God.Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. (niv)

Rather, you are filled with grief because I have said these things.But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. (niv)

a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, (niv)

This is what the Lord says:“ Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work will be rewarded,” declares the Lord.“ They will return from the land of the enemy. (niv)
