因为在基督耶稣里，受割礼不受割礼都没有功效，惟独使人发出仁爱的信心才有功效。

虽然如此，官长中却有好些信他的，只因法利赛人的缘故不敢承认，恐怕被赶出会堂。这是因他们爱人给的尊荣过于爱上帝给的尊荣。
