The seed sown on rocky ground is the person who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy.But he has no root in himself and does not endure; when trouble or persecution comes because of the word, immediately he falls away.

You believe that God is one; well and good. Even the demons believe that– and tremble with fear.But would you like evidence, you empty fellow, that faith without works is useless?

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision carries any weight– the only thing that matters is faith working through love.

Now the Jewish feast of Passover was near, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
