那撒在石頭地上的，是人聽了道，立刻歡歡喜喜地領受，自己裏面卻沒有根，只是暫時的；及至因道而遭苦難或逼迫，立刻就絆跌了。

你信上帝只有一位；你信得不錯；鬼魔們也信，並怕得毛髮直豎起來呢！虛妄的人哪，你願意知道沒有行為的信心是不行的麼？

因為在基督耶穌裏、受割禮沒有效力，不受割禮也沒有效力，惟獨以愛力行的信才有效力。

同樣地，那些撒在石頭地上的是：人聽了道，立刻歡歡喜喜地領受，自己心裏面卻沒有根，只是暫時的；後來為了道遭遇苦難或逼迫，立刻就絆跌了。

雖然如此，就是議員中也有許多信耶穌的；只因法利賽人的緣故、未嘗承認罷了，怕從會堂裏被革除。因為他們愛由人來的榮耀，不愛由上帝來的榮耀。

猶太人的逾越節近了，耶穌就上耶路撒冷去。
