爾信天主惟一、斯誠善矣，獨不知眾魔亦具此信、且因是而震慄焉。』嗚呼、爾亦淺人也已！爾亦知無行之信、乃為空虛無實乎？

在基督道中、受割與否、無關宏旨、亦惟興於仁而立於信而已矣。

落於礩地者、譬人聞道即歡忻鼓舞而受之、惟其內無根、蓬勃一時、不能持之以恆、一旦為道之故、而遭遇艱難困厄、則頹然而廢矣；

然官紳中亦頗有信耶穌者、惟礙於法利塞人、故不敢公然認之、恐被逐於會堂也。蓋若輩之愛慕人爵、有甚乎天爵者焉。
