種子落在石頭地上，是指人聽了道後，立刻歡歡喜喜地接受了，但因為他心裡沒有根基，不過是暫時接受，一旦為道遭受患難或迫害，就立刻放棄了信仰；

你相信上帝只有一位，你信得沒錯，鬼魔也相信，而且恐懼戰抖。愚蠢的人啊，你們不知道沒有行為的信心是死的嗎？

我們既然已經在基督耶穌裡，受不受割禮根本無關緊要，藉著愛表現出來的信心才至關重要。

雖然這樣，仍有很多猶太的官員信了耶穌，只是在法利賽人面前不敢公開承認，因為害怕會被趕出會堂。因為他們愛從世人而來的榮耀，勝過愛從上帝而來的榮耀。

猶太人的逾越節快到了，耶穌便上耶路撒冷去。
