To those who sold the doves he said,“ Take these things away from here! Do not make my Father’s house a marketplace!”

謂售鴿者曰、將是物去之、毋以我父之室、為貿易之室、

顧謂售鴿者曰：『速收拾以去！勿以吾父之室、轉為貿利之場！』

And he told those who sold the pigeons,“ Take these things away; do not make my Father’s house a house of trade.”

Then, going over to the people who sold doves, he told them,“ Get these things out of here. Stop turning my Father’s house into a marketplace!”

and to those who were selling the doves He said,“ Take these things away from here; stop making My Father’s house a place of business!”

and to them that sold the doves he said, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house a house of merchandise.

He told those who were selling doves,“ Get these things out of here! Stop turning My Father’s house into a marketplace!”

And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.

To those who sold the doves, he said,“ Take these things out of here! Don’t make my Father’s house a marketplace!”

And he said to them,“ It is written,‘ My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are turning it into a den of robbers!”

But he replied,“ Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”

Do you think this temple I have claimed as my own is to be a hideout for robbers? You had better take note! I have seen for myself what you have done! says the LORD.

I will set up within my temple and my walls a monument that will be better than sons and daughters. I will set up a permanent monument for them that will remain.As for foreigners who become followers of the LORD and serve him, who love the name of the LORD and want to be his servants– all who observe the Sabbath and do not defile it, and who are faithful to my covenant–I will bring them to my holy mountain; I will make them happy in the temple where people pray to me. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar, for my temple will be known as a temple where all nations may pray.”The sovereign LORD says this, the one who gathers the dispersed of Israel:“ I will still gather them up.”All you wild animals in the fields, come and devour, all you wild animals in the forest!All their watchmen are blind, they are unaware. All of them are like mute dogs, unable to bark. They pant, lie down, and love to snooze.The dogs have big appetites; they are never full. They are shepherds who have no understanding; they all go their own way, each one looking for monetary gain.

Then he began to teach them and said,“ Is it not written:‘ My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have turned it into a den of robbers!”

Their eyes, full of adultery, never stop sinning; they entice unstable people. They have trained their hearts for greed, these cursed children!By forsaking the right path they have gone astray, because they followed the way of Balaam son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness,

So he told them,“ My Father is working until now, and I too am working.”

And in their greed they will exploit you with deceptive words. Their condemnation pronounced long ago is not sitting idly by; their destruction is not asleep.

The businessmen love to cheat; they use dishonest scales.Ephraim boasts,“ I am very rich! I have become wealthy! In all that I have done to gain my wealth, no one can accuse me of any offense that is actually sinful.”

Jesus replied,“ Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to my Father. Go to my brothers and tell them,‘ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

For a man named Demetrius, a silversmith who made silver shrines of Artemis, brought a great deal of business to the craftsmen.He gathered these together, along with the workmen in similar trades, and said,“ Men, you know that our prosperity comes from this business.And you see and hear that this Paul has persuaded and turned away a large crowd, not only in Ephesus but in practically all of the province of Asia, by saying that gods made by hands are not gods at all.There is danger not only that this business of ours will come into disrepute, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be regarded as nothing, and she whom all the province of Asia and the world worship will suffer the loss of her greatness.”

My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one can snatch them from my Father’s hand.

and constant bickering by people corrupted in their minds and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a way of making a profit.

Jesus answered,“ I am not possessed by a demon, but I honor my Father– and yet you dishonor me.
