As soon as the chief priests and their officials saw him, they shouted,“ Crucify! Crucify!” But Pilate answered,“ You take him and crucify him. As for me, I find no basis for a charge against him.”

When the chief priests and the temple servants saw him, they shouted,“ Crucify! Crucify!” Pilate responded,“ Take him and crucify him yourselves, since I find no grounds for charging him.”

So when the chief priests and the officers saw Him, they shouted, saying,“ Crucify, crucify!” Pilate* said to them,“ Take Him yourselves and crucify Him; for I find no grounds for charges in His case!”

Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying,“ Crucify Him, crucify Him!” Pilate said to them,“ You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.”

Once more Pilate came out and said to the Jews gathered there,“ Look, I am bringing him out to you to let you know that I find no basis for a charge against him.” (niv)

“ What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?” Pilate asked. They all answered,“ Crucify him!” (niv)

Then Pilate announced to the chief priests and the crowd,“ I find no basis for a charge against this man.” (niv)

But they shouted,“ Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!”“ Shall I crucify your king?” Pilate asked.“ We have no king but Caesar,” the chief priests answered. (niv)

When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd.“ I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said.“ It is your responsibility!” (niv)

“ What shall I do, then, with the one you call the king of the Jews?” Pilate asked them.“ Crucify him!” they shouted.“ Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder,“ Crucify him!”Wanting to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified. (niv)

The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath.Though they found no proper ground for a death sentence, they asked Pilate to have him executed.When they had carried out all that was written about him, they took him down from the cross and laid him in a tomb. Was there ever a prophet your ancestors did not persecute? They even killed those who predicted the coming of the Righteous One. And now you have betrayed and murdered him— (niv)

This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. (niv)

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go.You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you.You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. But the hand of him who is going to betray me is with mine on the table.The Son of Man will go as it has been decreed. But woe to that man who betrays him!”They began to question among themselves which of them it might be who would do this. (niv)
