所以，請你下令嚴密看守那墳墓，一直到第三天，免得他的門徒們來把他偷走，然後對民眾說他從死人中復活了，這樣，那最後的迷惑就要比先前的更厲害了。」彼拉多對他們說：「你們有一隊衛兵，盡你們所能，嚴密看守吧！」於是，他們帶著衛兵去，用印封上墓口的石頭，嚴密看守墳墓。
