Nicodemus saith unto them( he that came to him before, being one of them),Doth our law judge a man, except it first hear from himself and know what he doeth?They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and see that out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.

A bruised reed shall he not break, And smoking flax shall he not quench, Till he send forth judgment unto victory.

Jesus therefore said, Suffer her to keep it against the day of my burying.

And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had hewn out for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odors and divers kinds of spices prepared by the perfumers’ art: and they made a very great burning for him.

Until the day be cool, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, And to the hill of frankincense.

And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, that they might come and anoint him.

I have perfumed my bed With myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.

All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia; Out of ivory palaces stringed instruments have made thee glad.

But many shall be last that are first; and first that are last.
