有亞利瑪大人若瑟者、私淑耶穌、以畏猶太人故、迄未敢公然事之；至是乃具稟比辣多、欲領耶穌遺體；比辣多既准、乃來收屍。

Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders. With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away.

Later Joseph asked Pilate for Jesus’ body. Joseph was from the town of Arimathea. He was a follower of Jesus. But he followed Jesus secretly because he was afraid of the Jewish leaders. After Pilate gave him permission, Joseph came and took the body away.

After these things Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took away his body.

有一位名叫約瑟的公會議員心地善良、為人正直，住在猶太地區的亞利馬太城，一直在等候上帝國的降臨。他並不苟同公會的決定。他去求見彼拉多，要求領取耶穌的遺體。他把耶穌的遺體從十字架上取下來，用細麻布裹好，然後安放在一個從岩壁上鑿出的新墓穴裡。當天是預備日，安息日快到了。和耶穌一起從加利利來的婦女跟在約瑟後面，看到了耶穌的墳墓，並且看到祂的遺體被安放好之後，便回家去預備香料和膏油。安息日到了，她們按律法的規定休息了一天。

傍晚，從亞利馬太來了一位名叫約瑟的富人，他是耶穌的門徒。他去求見彼拉多，要求領取耶穌的遺體，彼拉多就下令把耶穌的遺體交給他。約瑟領了遺體，用乾淨的細麻布裹好，安放在他為自己在岩壁上鑿出的新墓穴裡，並滾來一塊大石頭封閉墓穴的入口，然後離去。那時，抹大拉的瑪麗亞和另一個瑪麗亞坐在墳墓的對面。

大多數主內的弟兄姊妹看見我為主被囚，信心受到鼓舞，更加放膽無懼地傳揚上帝的道。

那天是猶太人的預備日，也就是安息日的前一天。傍晚，亞利馬太人約瑟鼓起勇氣去見彼拉多，要求領取耶穌的遺體。他是一位德高望重的公會議員，一位等候上帝國降臨的人。彼拉多聽見耶穌已經死了，十分驚訝，便把百夫長召來問個明白，得知耶穌確實已死，便將耶穌的遺體交給約瑟。約瑟把耶穌的遺體取下來，用買來的細麻布裹好，安放在一個在岩壁上鑿出的墓穴裡，又滾來一塊大石頭堵住洞口。抹大拉的瑪麗亞和約西的母親瑪麗亞都親眼看到了安葬耶穌的地方。

不過，沒有人敢公開議論祂的事，因為害怕猶太人。

雖然這樣，仍有很多猶太的官員信了耶穌，只是在法利賽人面前不敢公開承認，因為害怕會被趕出會堂。

他父母因為害怕那些猶太人，所以才這樣說，因為那些猶太人早就商量好了，誰承認耶穌是基督，就把他趕出會堂。

懼怕人的必自陷網羅，信靠耶和華的必安穩。
