他又把艾城的王悬在树上，直到黄昏的时候；日落的时候，约书亚吩咐人把尸体从树上拿下来，丢在城门口那里，又在尸体上堆起了一大堆石头，这堆石头一直存到今日。

随后，约书亚把那五个王杀死，悬在五棵树上；他们就悬在树上，直到晚上。到了日落的时候，约书亚吩咐人把他们从树上取下来，丢在他们躲藏过的洞里，把几块大石头放在洞口；这些石头一直存到今日。

义人连自己牲畜的性命也顾惜；但恶人的怜悯也是残忍。

那时，彼拉多吩咐人把耶稣拉去鞭打。

第一天应当有圣会，什么劳碌的工你们都不可作。这七天你们要每天献火祭给耶和华；第七日应当有圣会，什么劳碌的工你们都不可作。”耶和华对摩西说：“你要告诉以色列人，对他们说：你们到了我赐给你们的地，收割庄稼的时候，要把初熟庄稼的一捆带到祭司那里。他要在耶和华面前摇禾捆，在安息日的次日把它摇一摇，使你们蒙悦纳。你们摇禾捆的时候，要把一只一岁、没有瑕疵的公绵羊作燔祭献给耶和华。同献的素祭，是调油的细面两公斤，献给耶和华作馨香的火祭；同献的奠祭，是一公斤酒。无论是饼，是烘过的谷粒，或是新穗子，你们都不可吃，直等到你们把神的供物带来的那天，才可以吃；这要在你们的一切住处，作世世代代永远的律例。“你们要从安息日的次日，把禾捆带来作摇祭那日起，计算整整七个星期；到第七个星期的次日，共计五十天；那天你们要献新的素祭给耶和华。

第一日你们要有圣会，第七日你们也要有圣会；这两日之内，除了预备各人所要吃的以外，一切工作都不可作。

你们吃我民的肉，剥他们的皮，打断他们的骨头，切成像锅里的块，像釜中的肉块。

第二天，就是过了“预备日”的那一天，祭司长和法利赛人去见彼拉多，说：
