随后约书亚将这五个王杀死，把尸体分别挂在五棵树上，直到傍晚。日落时，约书亚才下令把尸体放下，丢在他们先前躲藏的山洞里，用大石头堵住洞口，石头至今还在那里。

义人顾惜自己的牲畜，恶人的怜悯也是残忍。

于是彼拉多命人鞭打耶稣。

在节期的第一天和第七天，你们都要招聚百姓举行圣会。这两天所有人都不得工作，除了预备各人要吃的以外，不可做任何工。

你们吃我百姓的肉，剥我百姓的皮，打碎他们的骨头，把他们切成块，如同下在锅里、放进釜中的肉。

第二天，就是预备日之后的那天，祭司长和法利赛人一起来见彼拉多，说：
