又對那門徒說：「看，你的母親！」從那刻起，那門徒就接她到自己家裏去了。

又告此門徒曰、是乃爾母、自是此門徒接耶穌之母、居於己家、

次謂徒曰：『此汝母也！』是後徒乃迎養於其家。

看哪，時候將到，其實已經到了，你們要分散，各歸自己的地方，留下我獨自一人；然而我不是獨自一人，因為有父與我同在。

他來到自己的地方，自己的人並不接納他。

年老婦女如同母親。要清清潔潔地待年輕婦女如同姊妹。要尊敬真正守寡的婦人。寡婦若有兒女，或有孫兒女，要讓兒孫先在自己家中學習行孝，報答親恩，因為這在上帝面前是可蒙悅納的。

他卻回答那對他說話的人，說：「誰是我的母親？誰是我的兄弟？」於是他伸手指着門徒，說：「看哪，我的母親，我的兄弟！凡遵行我天父旨意的人就是我的兄弟、姊妹和母親。」

孩子們哪，我們相愛，不要只在言語或舌頭上，總要以行為和真誠表現出來。從這一點，我們會知道，我們是出於真理的，並且我們在上帝面前可以安心，

就環視那周圍坐着的人，說：「看哪，我的母親，我的兄弟！

這樣看來，差我到這裏來的不是你們，而是上帝。他又使我如同法老之父，作他全家之主，和埃及全地掌權的人。

王回答他們說：『我實在告訴你們，這些事你們做在我弟兄中一個最小的身上，就是做在我身上了。』

約瑟用糧食供給他父親和兄弟們，以及他父親全家的人，照扶養親屬的人口供給。
