But the time is coming— indeed it’s here now— when you will be scattered, each one going his own way, leaving me alone. Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me.

He came to his own people, and even they rejected him.

Treat older women as you would your mother, and treat younger women with all purity as you would your own sisters.Take care of any widow who has no one else to care for her.But if she has children or grandchildren, their first responsibility is to show godliness at home and repay their parents by taking care of them. This is something that pleases God.

Jesus asked,“ Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”Then he pointed to his disciples and said,“ Look, these are my mother and brothers.Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!”

Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God.

Then he looked at those around him and said,“ Look, these are my mother and brothers.

So it was God who sent me here, not you! And he is the one who made me an adviser to Pharaoh— the manager of his entire palace and the governor of all Egypt.

“ And the King will say,‘ I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’

And Joseph provided food for his father and his brothers in amounts appropriate to the number of their dependents, including the smallest children.
