然後對那門徒說：「看哪，你的母親！」從那時候起，那門徒就把耶穌的母親接到自己的家裡。

次謂徒曰：『此汝母也！』是後徒乃迎養於其家。

看哪，時候就要到了，而且已經到了！你們要被驅散，每個人到自己的地方，留下我一個人。其實我不是獨自一人，因為父與我同在。

他來到自己的地方，自己的人卻不接受他。

對年長的婦女要像對母親那樣，對年輕的婦女要像對姐妹那樣，要懷著完全純潔的心。要尊重那些真正的寡婦。不過一個寡婦如果有兒女或孫兒女，就應當讓他們先學會孝敬自己的家人，報答親恩，因為這在神面前是蒙悅納的。

耶穌回答那對他說話的人，說：「我的母親是誰呢？我的弟兄是誰呢？」他就伸手指著他的門徒們，說：「看，我的母親、我的弟兄！因為凡是遵行我天父旨意的人，他才是我的弟兄、姐妹和母親。」

孩子們哪，讓我們不在語言或口頭上相愛，而在行為和真理中相愛，從這一點我們就會知道我們屬於真理。

他環視坐在他周圍的人，說：「看，我的母親、我的弟兄！

這樣看來，派遣我到這裡來的，不是你們，而是神。他立我作法老之父，作他全家之主，又作埃及全地的管轄者。

「王要回答他們，說：『我確實地告訴你們：你們為我這些弟兄中最小的一個所做的事，就是為我做了。』

約瑟以孩童人數為基準，供應糧食給他的父親、他的兄弟們以及他父親的全家。
