然後對門徒說：「看啊，她是你的母親。」從那天起，那個門徒就把她接到自己家裡去了。

又对那门徒说：“看，你的母亲！”从此，那门徒就接她到自己家里去了。

次謂徒曰：『此汝母也！』是後徒乃迎養於其家。

看啊！時候快到了，現在就是，你們將要分散，各自回家，只留下我一人。不過，我並非一人，因為父與我在一起。

祂來到自己的地方，自己的人卻不接納祂。

對待年長的婦女要情同母親；對待青年女子要心思純正，視她們如姊妹。要敬重和幫助那些真正有需要的寡婦。如果寡婦有兒孫，就要叫她們的兒孫在家中學習盡孝道，奉養她們，以報答養育之恩，這是上帝所悅納的。

耶穌說：「誰是我的母親？誰是我的兄弟？」祂伸出手來指著門徒說：「你們看！這些人就是我的母親和我的兄弟。凡遵行我天父旨意的人都是我的弟兄、姊妹和母親。」

所以，孩子們啊，不要單在口頭上說愛人，總要以真誠的行動表現出來。這樣，我們必知道自己屬於真理，即使我們心中自責，也可以在上帝面前心安，因為上帝比我們的心大，祂知道一切。

然後祂望著周圍坐著的人說：「看啊！我的母親、我的弟兄在這裡。

這樣看來，不是你們，是上帝把我送到這裡的。祂使我成為法老的宰相，管理他的家和整個埃及。

「王會回答說，『我實在告訴你們，你們幫助我最卑微的一個弟兄，就是幫助我了。』

約瑟按各家人口提供糧食給父親、弟兄及其他家人。
