And they compelled a passerby, Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross.And they brought him to the place called Golgotha( which means Place of a Skull).And they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it.

There was also an inscription over him,“ This is the King of the Jews.”

And Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him,“ You lack one thing: go, sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”

And the inscription of the charge against him read,“ The King of the Jews.”

And he said to all,“ If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

“ Bring out of the camp the one who cursed, and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the robe and put his own clothes on him and led him away to crucify him.As they went out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. They compelled this man to carry his cross.And when they came to a place called Golgotha( which means Place of a Skull),they offered him wine to drink, mixed with gall, but when he tasted it, he would not drink it.

And the two worthless men came in and sat opposite him. And the worthless men brought a charge against Naboth in the presence of the people, saying,“ Naboth cursed God and the king.” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death with stones.

Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross that we may see and believe.” Those who were crucified with him also reviled him.
