「在收割的前三個月，我不降雨在你們那裏，我降雨在這城，不降雨在那城；這塊地有雨，那塊無雨的地就必枯乾。

在耶路撒冷，靠近羊門有一個池子，希伯來話叫畢士大，旁邊有五個柱廊；

彼得和約翰回答他們說：「聽從你們，不聽從上帝，在上帝面前合理不合理，你們自己判斷吧！

我提醒你們該怕的是誰：該怕那殺了以後又有權柄把人扔在地獄裏的。是的，我告訴你們，正要怕他。

我，惟有我是安慰你們的。你是誰，竟怕那必死的人，怕那生命如草的世人，卻忘記鋪張諸天、立定地基、造你的耶和華？你因欺壓者圖謀毀滅所發的暴怒，終日害怕，其實那欺壓者的暴怒在哪裏呢？

你怕誰，因誰恐懼，竟說謊，不記得我，不將這事放在心上。是否因我許久閉口不言，你就不怕我了呢？

你們緘默不語，真合公義嗎？你們審判世人，豈按正直嗎？不然！你們心中作惡，量出你們在地上手中的殘暴。

彼拉多聽見這話，越發害怕，

那藉着律例玩弄奸惡、以權位肆行殘害的，豈能與你交往呢？他們大家聚集攻擊義人，將無辜的人定了死罪。

你若在一個地區看見窮人受欺壓，公義公平被掠奪，不要因此驚奇；有一位高過居高位的在鑒察，在他們之上還有更高的。
