When Pilate heard this, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judge’s seat at a place known as the Stone Pavement( which in Aramaic is Gabbatha).

你們不明白，也不領悟；你們在黑暗中往來行走；大地的根基全都動搖了。我曾說：『你們是神，都是至高者的兒子。』然而你們要死去，像世人一樣；要仆倒，像任何一位首領。」

對人的懼怕，會成為陷阱；依靠耶和華的，安穩在高處。

在耶路撒冷的羊門附近有一個池子，希伯來語叫做「貝示達」，那裡有五道柱廊。

可是彼得和約翰回答說：「聽從你們過於聽從神，在神面前是理所當然的嗎？你們自己判斷吧！

我要指示你們該懼怕的是誰：你們當懼怕那殺了身體以後，又有權把人扔進地獄的那一位。是的，我告訴你們：當懼怕這一位。

「我，是我安慰你們；你是誰，竟怕那必死的人，就是那被棄如草芥的世人；竟忘記了那造你的耶和華，就是展開諸天、奠定大地根基的那一位；竟終日不斷地懼怕，就是懼怕壓迫者預備行毀滅時的怒火！其實那壓迫者的怒火在哪裡呢？

你究竟害怕誰、畏懼誰，以致說謊、不記念我，也不把我放在心上呢？難道我長久以來不是一直靜默嗎？難道你們因此就不敬畏我了嗎？

掌權者啊，你們真的講公義嗎？你們真的以正直審判世人嗎？不，你們在心裡行不義，你們在地上手施殘暴。

彼拉多一聽這話，就更加懼怕了，

那些坐在奸惡王位上的，就是藉著律例製造禍患的，難道能成為你的盟友嗎？他們互相勾結攻擊義人，把無辜人定了死罪。

如果你在某一省中看到窮人受欺壓，公正和公義被奪去，不要因此感到驚奇，因為高位者之上有更高的在保護他，在他們之上還有更高的保護他們。
