When Pilate heard this, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judge’s seat at a place known as the Stone Pavement( which in Aramaic is Gabbatha).

你们不明白，也不领悟；你们在黑暗中往来行走；大地的根基全都动摇了。我曾说：‘你们是神，都是至高者的儿子。’然而你们要死去，像世人一样；要仆倒，像任何一位首领。”

对人的惧怕，会成为陷阱；依靠耶和华的，安稳在高处。

在耶路撒冷的羊门附近有一个池子，希伯来语叫做“贝示达”，那里有五道柱廊。

可是彼得和约翰回答说：“听从你们过于听从神，在神面前是理所当然的吗？你们自己判断吧！

我要指示你们该惧怕的是谁：你们当惧怕那杀了身体以后，又有权把人扔进地狱的那一位。是的，我告诉你们：当惧怕这一位。

“我，是我安慰你们；你是谁，竟怕那必死的人，就是那被弃如草芥的世人；竟忘记了那造你的耶和华，就是展开诸天、奠定大地根基的那一位；竟终日不断地惧怕，就是惧怕压迫者预备行毁灭时的怒火！其实那压迫者的怒火在哪里呢？

你究竟害怕谁、畏惧谁，以致说谎、不记念我，也不把我放在心上呢？难道我长久以来不是一直静默吗？难道你们因此就不敬畏我了吗？

掌权者啊，你们真的讲公义吗？你们真的以正直审判世人吗？不，你们在心里行不义，你们在地上手施残暴。

彼拉多一听这话，就更加惧怕了，

那些坐在奸恶王位上的，就是藉着律例制造祸患的，难道能成为你的盟友吗？他们互相勾结攻击义人，把无辜人定了死罪。

如果你在某一省中看到穷人受欺压，公正和公义被夺去，不要因此感到惊奇，因为高位者之上有更高的在保护他，在他们之上还有更高的保护他们。
