Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them,“ Who is it you want?”

Jesus knew everything that was going to happen to him. So he went out and asked them,“ Who do you want?”

Then Jesus, knowing all that would happen to him, came forward and said to them,“ Whom do you seek?”

Jesus fully realized all that was going to happen to him, so he stepped forward to meet them.“ Who are you looking for?” he asked.

Then Jesus, knowing everything that was about to happen to him, went out and said to them,“ Who is it that you’re seeking?”

Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon Him, came out into the open and* said to them,“ Whom are you seeking?”

Before the Passover Festival, Jesus knew that His hour had come to depart from this world to the Father. Having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

Then He asked them again,“ Who is it you’re looking for?”“ Jesus the Nazarene,” they said.

When they heard this, they all raised their voices to God and said,“ Master, You are the One who made the heaven, the earth, and the sea, and everything in them.You said through the Holy Spirit, by the mouth of our father David Your servant: Why did the Gentiles rage and the peoples plot futile things?The kings of the earth took their stand and the rulers assembled together against the Lord and against His Messiah.“ For, in fact, in this city both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, assembled together against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed,to do whatever Your hand and Your plan had predestined to take place.

But there are some among you who don’t believe.”( For Jesus knew from the beginning those who would not believe and the one who would betray Him.)

But I said,“ Should a man like me run away? How can I enter the temple and live? I will not go.”

As the Lord your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent someone to search for you. When they said,‘ He is not here,’ he made that kingdom or nation swear they had not found you.

For He knew who would betray Him. This is why He said,“ You are not all clean.”

As they were meeting in Galilee, Jesus told them,“ The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.They will kill Him, and on the third day He will be raised up.” And they were deeply distressed.

“ Listen! We are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death.Then they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to be mocked, flogged, and crucified, and He will be resurrected on the third day.”

While they were eating, He said,“ I assure you: One of you will betray Me.”

The wicked flee when no one is pursuing them, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

“ Listen! We are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn Him to death. Then they will hand Him over to the Gentiles,and they will mock Him, spit on Him, flog Him, and kill Him, and He will rise after three days.”

Then He took the Twelve aside and told them,“ Listen! We are going up to Jerusalem. Everything that is written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished.For He will be handed over to the Gentiles, and He will be mocked, insulted, spit on;and after they flog Him, they will kill Him, and He will rise on the third day.”

After this, when Jesus knew that everything was now accomplished that the Scripture might be fulfilled, He said,“ I’m thirsty!”

“ You know that the Passover takes place after two days, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”

This is why the Father loves Me, because I am laying down My life so I may take it up again.No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down on My own. I have the right to lay it down, and I have the right to take it up again. I have received this command from My Father.”

From then on Jesus began to point out to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, be killed, and be raised the third day.

Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, equip yourselves also with the same resolve— because the one who suffered in the flesh has finished with sin—

“ He is not here, but He has been resurrected! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee,saying,‘ The Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men, be crucified, and rise on the third day’?”

I am not afraid of the thousands of people who have taken their stand against me on every side.

Though an army deploys against me, my heart is not afraid; though a war breaks out against me, still I am confident.

You have revealed the paths of life to me; You will fill me with gladness in Your presence.

Then Jesus said to them,“ Tonight all of you will run away because of Me, for it is written: I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.

Then He told them,“ These are My words that I spoke to you while I was still with you— that everything written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

“ And now I am on my way to Jerusalem, bound in my spirit, not knowing what I will encounter there,except that in town after town the Holy Spirit testifies to me that chains and afflictions are waiting for me.

Now you say,‘ Go tell your lord,“ Elijah is here!”’ He will kill me!”Then Elijah said,“ As the Lord of Hosts lives, before whom I stand, today I will present myself to Ahab.”Obadiah went to meet Ahab and told him. Then Ahab went to meet Elijah.When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him,“ Is that you, you destroyer of Israel?”He replied,“ I have not destroyed Israel, but you and your father’s house have, because you have abandoned the Lord’s commands and followed the Baals.
