Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them,“ Who is it you want?”

Jesus knew everything that was going to happen to him. So he went out and asked them,“ Who do you want?”

Jesus fully realized all that was going to happen to him, so he stepped forward to meet them.“ Who are you looking for?” he asked.

Then Jesus, knowing everything that was about to happen to him, went out and said to them,“ Who is it that you’re seeking?”

Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon Him, came out into the open and* said to them,“ Whom are you seeking?”

Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

So he asked them again,“ Whom do you seek?” And they said,“ Jesus of Nazareth.”

And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together to God and said,“ Sovereign Lord, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them,who through the mouth of our father David, your servant, said by the Holy Spirit,“‘ Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples plot in vain?The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers were gathered together, against the Lord and against his Anointed’—for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place.

But there are some of you who do not believe.”( For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.)

But I said,“ Should such a man as I run away? And what man such as I could go into the temple and live? I will not go in.”

As the Lord your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek you. And when they would say,‘ He is not here,’ he would take an oath of the kingdom or nation, that they had not found you.

For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said,“ Not all of you are clean.”

As they were gathering in Galilee, Jesus said to them,“ The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men,and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day.” And they were greatly distressed.

“ See, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to deathand deliver him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.”

And as they were eating, he said,“ Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.”

The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.

saying,“ See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him over to the Gentiles.And they will mock him and spit on him, and flog him and kill him. And after three days he will rise.”

And taking the twelve, he said to them,“ See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written about the Son of Man by the prophets will be accomplished.For he will be delivered over to the Gentiles and will be mocked and shamefully treated and spit upon.And after flogging him, they will kill him, and on the third day he will rise.”

After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said( to fulfill the Scripture),“ I thirst.”

“ You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”

For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again.No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.”

From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.

Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee,that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.”

I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.

Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.

You have made known to me the paths of life; you will make me full of gladness with your presence.’

Then Jesus said to them,“ You will all fall away because of me this night. For it is written,‘ I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

Then he said to them,“ These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

And now, behold, I am going to Jerusalem, constrained by the Spirit, not knowing what will happen to me there,except that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that imprisonment and afflictions await me.

And now you say,‘ Go, tell your lord,“ Behold, Elijah is here”’; and he will kill me.”And Elijah said,“ As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will surely show myself to him today.”So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him. And Ahab went to meet Elijah.When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him,“ Is it you, you troubler of Israel?”And he answered,“ I have not troubled Israel, but you have, and your father’s house, because you have abandoned the commandments of the Lord and followed the Baals.
