而伯鐸祿猶立而取煖。或問之、曰：『汝亦斯人之徒歟？』伯鐸祿否認曰：『非也！』

Meanwhile, Simon Peter was still standing there warming himself. So they asked him,“ You aren’t one of his disciples too, are you?” He denied it, saying,“ I am not.”

Meanwhile, Simon Peter was still standing there warming himself by the fire. So they asked him,“ You aren’t one of Jesus’ disciples too, are you?” He said,“ I am not.”

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. So they said to him,“ You also are not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said,“ I am not.”

Meanwhile, as Simon Peter was standing by the fire warming himself, they asked him again,“ You’re not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it, saying,“ No, I am not.”

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said to him,“ You aren’t one of his disciples too, are you?” He denied it and said,“ I am not.”

Now Simon Peter was still standing and warming himself. So they said to him,“ You are not one of His disciples as well, are you?” He denied it, and said,“ I am not.”

Now Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. Therefore they said to him,“ You are not also one of His disciples, are you?” He denied it and said,“ I am not!”

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore unto him, Art thou also one of his disciples? He denied, and said, I am not.

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him,“ You aren’t also one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said,“ I am not.”

過了一會兒，另一個人看見他，就說：「你也是與他們一夥的！」彼得說：「你這個人哪，我不是！」大約過了一個小時，又有一個人肯定地說：「這個人真的也是與他一夥的，因為他也是加利利人。」彼得說：「你這個人哪，我不知道你在說什麼！」他正說著的時候，雞立時就叫了。主轉過身來注視彼得，彼得就想起主對他說過的話：「今天雞叫以前，你會三次不認我。」他就到外面去，痛哭起來。

對人的懼怕，會成為陷阱；依靠耶和華的，安穩在高處。

他出去到門口，另有一個女僕看見他，對那裡的人說：「這個人與拿撒勒人耶穌是一夥的。」彼得又起誓否認說：「我不認識那個人！」過了一會兒，旁邊站著的人過來對彼得說：「你真的也是與他們一夥的，因為連你的口音也把你暴露了。」彼得就開始賭咒並起誓說：「我不認識那個人！」立時，雞就叫了。彼得想起耶穌說過的話：「雞叫以前，你會三次不認我」，就到外面去，痛哭起來。

那看門的女僕問彼得：「你不也是這個人的門徒嗎？」彼得說：「我不是。」因為當時天氣寒冷，奴僕和差役們生了一堆炭火，站著取暖。彼得也與他們站在一起取暖。

不過磯法來到安提阿的時候，我曾當面抵擋他，因為他有該責備的地方。原來，從雅各那裡來的一些人到達之前，磯法與外邦人一起吃飯；可是那些人一到，他因為怕那些割禮派的人，就退縮，與外邦人分開了。其餘的猶太人也跟著他裝假，以致連巴拿巴也被他們的偽善引入歧途。

有一個女僕看見彼得坐在火光中，就注視著他，說：「這個人也與他是一夥的。」

彼得坐在外面的院子裡，有一個女僕過來對他說：「你也與那個加利利人耶穌是一夥的。」

耶穌回來，看見他們睡著了，就對彼得說：「西門，你睡著了？難道你不能警醒一個小時嗎？要警醒禱告，免得陷入試探。你們心靈雖然願意，肉體卻是軟弱的。」

撒拉因為害怕就否認說：「我沒有笑」；但那人說：「不，你確實笑了。」

她看見彼得在取暖，就注視著他，說：「你也與那個拿撒勒人耶穌是一夥的。」彼得卻否認說：「我既不明白，也不知道你在說什麼。」於是他就出去，到了門廊。這時候，雞叫了。那女僕看見他，又開始對站在旁邊的人說：「這個人是與他們一夥的。」彼得再次否認。過了一會兒，站在旁邊的人又對彼得說：「你真的是與他們一夥的，因為你也是加利利人。」他就開始賭咒並起誓說：「我不認識你們所講的這個人。」立時，雞叫了第二遍。彼得想起耶穌對他說過的話：「雞叫兩遍以前，你會三次不認我」，他就忍不住痛哭起來。
