而伯鐸祿猶立而取煖。或問之、曰：『汝亦斯人之徒歟？』伯鐸祿否認曰：『非也！』

Meanwhile, Simon Peter was still standing there warming himself. So they asked him,“ You aren’t one of his disciples too, are you?” He denied it, saying,“ I am not.”

Meanwhile, Simon Peter was still standing there warming himself by the fire. So they asked him,“ You aren’t one of Jesus’ disciples too, are you?” He said,“ I am not.”

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. So they said to him,“ You also are not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said,“ I am not.”

Meanwhile, as Simon Peter was standing by the fire warming himself, they asked him again,“ You’re not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it, saying,“ No, I am not.”

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said to him,“ You aren’t one of his disciples too, are you?” He denied it and said,“ I am not.”

Now Simon Peter was still standing and warming himself. So they said to him,“ You are not one of His disciples as well, are you?” He denied it, and said,“ I am not.”

Now Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. Therefore they said to him,“ You are not also one of His disciples, are you?” He denied it and said,“ I am not!”

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore unto him, Art thou also one of his disciples? He denied, and said, I am not.

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him,“ You aren’t also one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said,“ I am not.”

過了一會兒，又有個人看見了彼得，就說：「你也是跟他們一夥的！」彼得說：「你這人，我不是！」大約一小時之後，又有人指著彼得肯定地說：「這人確實是和耶穌一夥的，因為他也是加利利人。」彼得說：「你這個人，我不知道你在說什麼！」話才出口，雞就叫了。這時，主轉過頭來望著彼得，彼得想起主對他說的話：「明早雞叫之前，你會三次不認我。」他就到外面，痛哭起來。

懼怕人的必自陷網羅，信靠耶和華的必安穩。

正當他走到門口要離開時，另一個婢女看見他，就對旁邊的人說：「這個人是跟拿撒勒人耶穌一夥的！」彼得再次否認，並發誓說：「我不認識那個人。」過了一會兒，旁邊站著的人過來對彼得說：「你肯定也是他們一夥的，聽你的口音就知道了。」彼得又賭咒又發誓，說：「我不認識那個人！」就在這時候，雞叫了。彼得想起耶穌說的話：「在雞叫以前，你會三次不認我。」他就跑出去，失聲痛哭。

看門的女僕問彼得：「你不也是這個人的門徒嗎？」他說：「我不是。」天氣很冷，奴僕和差役生了一堆火，站著烤火取暖，彼得也跟他們站在一起烤火取暖。

後來，彼得到了安提阿，因他做錯了事，我就當面責備他。從雅各那裡來的人還沒有抵達之前，彼得和外族的信徒一起吃飯。但那些人抵達以後，彼得因為怕那些堅持行割禮的猶太人批評，就與外族的信徒分開了。其他的猶太基督徒也跟著彼得裝假，甚至連巴拿巴也隨從了他們的虛偽。

有個婢女看見彼得坐在火堆邊，打量他一番後，說：「這人是與耶穌一夥的！」

當時，彼得還坐在外面的院子裡，有一個婢女走過來對他說：「你也是跟那個加利利人耶穌一夥的。」

祂回來，見他們都睡著了，就對彼得說：「西門，你在睡覺嗎？你不能警醒一時嗎？你們要警醒禱告，免得陷入誘惑。你們的心靈雖然願意，肉體卻很軟弱。」

撒拉聽見後非常害怕，連忙否認說：「我沒有笑！」但耶和華說：「不，你確實笑了。」

見彼得在烤火，打量了他一番，說：「你也是那個拿撒勒人耶穌的同夥。」「我不知道也不明白你在說什麼！」彼得一邊否認，一邊躲到外院去。那時，雞叫了。一會兒，那婢女又看見彼得，就對旁邊的人說：「他是跟他們一夥的！」彼得又加以否認。再過了一會兒，旁觀的人也指著彼得說：「你一定是跟他們一夥的，因為你也是加利利人！」彼得又賭咒又發誓，說：「我根本不認識你們說的這個人。」就在這時候，雞又叫了。彼得突然想起耶穌曾對他說：「在雞叫兩次以前，你會三次不認我」，忍不住痛哭起來。
