Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!

Now Simon Peter was still standing and warming himself. So they said to him,“ You are not one of His disciples as well, are you?” He denied it, and said,“ I am not.”

One who walks with wise people will be wise, But a companion of fools will suffer harm.

After they kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter was sitting among them.And a slave woman, seeing him as he sat in the firelight, and staring at him, said,“ This man was with Him as well.”

and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked at him and* said,“ You were with Jesus the Nazarene as well.”

Do not participate in the useless deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them;for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.

Or what harmony does Christ have with Belial, or what does a believer share with an unbeliever?Or what agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said,“ I will dwell among them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord.“ And do not touch what is unclean; And I will welcome you.

Do not be deceived:“ Bad company corrupts good morals.”

When they had been released, they went to their own companions and reported everything that the chief priests and the elders had said to them.

So when they got out on the land, they* saw a charcoal fire already made and fish placed on it, and bread.

Then he came there to a cave and spent the night there; and behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and He said to him,“ What are you doing here, Elijah?”

And being in agony, He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground].
