I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.

I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one— as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.

Simon Peter replied,“ Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.

Their purpose is to teach people to live disciplined and successful lives, to help them do what is right, just, and fair.

Therefore, we never stop thanking God that when you received his message from us, you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said as the very word of God— which, of course, it is. And this word continues to work in you who believe.

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it.

God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

For I pass on to you what I received from the Lord himself. On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread

I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.

Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it.

Choose my instruction rather than silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold.

My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life.

assuming, by the way, that you know God gave me the special responsibility of extending his grace to you Gentiles.As I briefly wrote earlier, God himself revealed his mysterious plan to me.As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ.God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets.And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News.Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.

He replied,“ You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not.

Jesus told them,“ If God were your Father, you would love me, because I have come to you from God. I am not here on my own, but he sent me.

Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more.

Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world.

Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me.

Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise.

My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands.

Anyone who accepts his testimony can affirm that God is true.

“ O righteous Father, the world doesn’t know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent me.I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.”

“ I have revealed you to the ones you gave me from this world. They were always yours. You gave them to me, and they have kept your word.Now they know that everything I have is a gift from you,
