Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!

Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.

Anyone who wants to serve me must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.

So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord— who is the Spirit— makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

For God, who said,“ Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.

Those who love me inherit wealth. I will fill their treasuries.“ The Lord formed me from the beginning, before he created anything else.I was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began.I was born before the oceans were created, before the springs bubbled forth their waters.Before the mountains were formed, before the hills, I was born—before he had made the earth and fields and the first handfuls of soil.I was there when he established the heavens, when he drew the horizon on the oceans.I was there when he set the clouds above, when he established springs deep in the earth.I was there when he set the limits of the seas, so they would not spread beyond their boundaries. And when he marked off the earth’s foundations,I was the architect at his side. I was his constant delight, rejoicing always in his presence.And how happy I was with the world he created; how I rejoiced with the human family!

Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.

“ Then the King will say to those on his right,‘ Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.

Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.

I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me.

And Jesus replied,“ I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

“ The master was full of praise.‘ Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’

Go tell my father of my honored position here in Egypt. Describe for him everything you have seen, and then bring my father here quickly.”

Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord.

“ You have stayed with me in my time of trial.And just as my Father has granted me a Kingdom, I now grant you the rightto eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. And you will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Mark my words— I will not drink wine again until the day I drink it new with you in my Father’s Kingdom.”

The servants who are ready and waiting for his return will be rewarded. I tell you the truth, he himself will seat them, put on an apron, and serve them as they sit and eat!

“ The master said,‘ Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’

And I said to him,“ Sir, you are the one who knows.” Then he said to me,“ These are the ones who died in the great tribulation. They have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white.“ That is why they stand in front of God’s throne and serve him day and night in his Temple. And he who sits on the throne will give them shelter.They will never again be hungry or thirsty; they will never be scorched by the heat of the sun.For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to springs of life giving water. And God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”
