I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—

But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.

In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.

From his fullness we all received grace upon grace.

He who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. By this we know that he remains in us, by the Spirit which he gave us.

These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages;they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.They went out, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen.

The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us. Yes, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus therefore said to them again,“ Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”When he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them,“ Receive the Holy Spirit!If you forgive anyone’s sins, they have been forgiven them. If you retain anyone’s sins, they have been retained.”

They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for Jesus’ name.

He called to himself the twelve, and began to send them out two by two; and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits.

Working together, we entreat also that you do not receive the grace of God in vain,

If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone;

We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. You will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”

But I write the more boldly to you in part, as reminding you, because of the grace that was given to me by God,that I should be a servant of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving as a priest of the Good News of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.I have therefore my boasting in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.For I will not dare to speak of any things except those which Christ worked through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of God’s Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and around as far as to Illyricum, I have fully preached the Good News of Christ;yes, making it my aim to preach the Good News, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build on another’s foundation.

This is an obvious sign of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that you may be counted worthy of God’s Kingdom, for which you also suffer.Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you,and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,punishing those who don’t know God, and to those who don’t obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus,who will pay the penalty: eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,when he comes in that day to be glorified in his saints and to be admired among all those who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.

The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb.

Because it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf,
