他出去以后，耶稣就说：“现在人子得了荣耀，神也在人子身上得了荣耀，（神既然在人子身上得了荣耀，）（有些抄本无此句）也要在自己身上荣耀人子，并且要立刻荣耀他。

我在地上已经荣耀了你，你交给我要作的工，我已经完成了。父啊，现在让我在你自己面前得着荣耀，就是在创世以前我与你同享的荣耀。

因此神把他升为至高，并且赐给他超过万名之上的名。使天上、地上和地底下的一切，因着耶稣的名，都要屈膝，并且口里承认耶稣基督为主，使荣耀归给父神。

耶稣对他们说：“人子得荣耀的时候到了！

亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的神，就是我们祖宗的神，荣耀了他的仆人耶稣。这位耶稣，你们把他送交官府。彼拉多本来定意要放他，你们却当着彼拉多的面拒绝他。

他这话是指着信他的人要接受圣灵说的；那时圣灵还没有降临，因为耶稣还没有得着荣耀。

看哪，时候要到，而且已经到了，你们要分散，各人到自己的地方去，只留下我独自一个人。其实我不是独自一个人，因为有父与我同在。

于是他们把石头挪开。耶稣举目向天，说：“父啊，我感谢你，因为你垂听了我，

耶稣听见，就说：“这病不至于死，而是为了神的荣耀，使神的儿子因此得到荣耀。”

藉着他，你们信那使他从死人中复活、又给他荣耀的神，叫你们的信心和盼望都在于神。

“我现在心里烦乱，我应该说什么呢？说‘父啊，救我脱离这时刻’吗？然而我正是为了这个缘故来的，要面对这时刻。父啊，愿你荣耀你的名！”当时有声音从天上来，说：“我已经荣耀了我的名，还要再荣耀。”

耶稣第三次回来，对他们说：“你们还在睡觉休息吗？够了，时候到了，看哪，人子要被交在罪人手里了。

我天天跟你们在殿里，你们不向我下手；但现在是你们的时候了，也是黑暗掌权的时候了。”

这些话是耶稣在殿里教导人的时候，在银库的院中说的。当时没有人逮捕他，因为他的时候还没有到。

逾越节以前，耶稣知道自己离开这世界回到父那里去的时候到了。他既然爱世上属于自己的人，就爱他们到底。

于是他们想逮捕他，只是没有人下手，因为他的时候还没有到。
