Jesus said to them,“ If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I came forth from God and am here; for I have not even come on My own, but He sent Me.Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot listen to My word.You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.But because I say the truth, you do not believe Me.Which one of you convicts Me of sin? If I speak truth, why do you not believe Me?The one who is of God hears the words of God; for this reason you do not hear them, because you are not of God.”

And He was saying to them,“ You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world.Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am, you will die in your sins.”

Take care, brothers and sisters, that there will not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God.

and yet you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.I do not receive glory from people;but I know you, that you do not have the love of God in yourselves.I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, you will receive him.How can you believe, when you accept glory from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?

Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God;because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin.

who both killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out. They are not pleasing to God, but hostile to all people,hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved; with the result that they always reach the limit of their sins. But wrath has come upon them fully.

even though I was previously a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief;

The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their deeds were evil.For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds will not be exposed.But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God.”

Anyone who has ignored the Law of Moses is put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.How much more severe punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?

“ You men who are stiff necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears are always resisting the Holy Spirit; you are doing just as your fathers did.Which one of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? They killed those who had previously announced the coming of the Righteous One, and you have now become betrayers and murderers of Him;you who received the Law as ordained by angels, and yet did not keep it.”Now when they heard this, they were infuriated, and they began gnashing their teeth at him.

“ So I thought to myself that I had to act in strong opposition to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.And this is just what I did in Jerusalem; not only did I lock up many of the saints in prisons, after receiving authority from the chief priests, but I also cast my vote against them when they were being put to death.

I was once alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin came to life, and I died;
