But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you.

“ When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, namely, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, He will testify about Me,

I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may be with you forever;the Helper is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him; but you know Him because He remains with you and will be in you.

But this He said in reference to the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Therefore, since He has been exalted at the right hand of God, and has received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, He has poured out this which you both see and hear.

But because I say the truth, you do not believe Me.Which one of you convicts Me of sin? If I speak truth, why do you not believe Me?

You have ascended on high, You have led captive Your captives; You have received gifts among people, Even among the rebellious as well, that the Lord God may dwell there.

nor are you taking into account that it is in your best interest that one man die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish instead.”Now he did not say this on his own, but as he was high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation;and not for the nation only, but in order that He might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Opening his mouth, Peter said:“ I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality,

And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

You heard that I said to you,‘ I am going away, and I am coming to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will take you to Myself, so that where I am, there you also will be.

Therefore it says,“ When He ascended on high, He led captive the captives, And He gave gifts to people.”( Now this expression,“ He ascended,” what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth?He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.)And He gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers,for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ;until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

For our momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison,

But I say to you truthfully, there are some of those standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”
