Rather, you are filled with grief because I have said these things.

Instead, you are filled with sadness because I have said these things.

But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.

Instead, you grieve because of what I’ve told you.

Yet, because I have spoken these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.

But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.

But because I have spoken these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

“ Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.

Truly, truly I say to you that you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy!Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one is going to take your joy away from you.

And He said to them,“ What are these words that you are exchanging with one another as you are walking?” And they came to a stop, looking sad.

But Mary was standing outside the tomb, weeping; so as she wept, she stooped to look into the tomb;and she* saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying.And they* said to her,“ Woman, why are you weeping?” She* said to them,“ Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they put Him.”When she had said this, she turned around and* saw Jesus standing there, and yet she did not know that it was Jesus.Jesus* said to her,“ Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” Thinking that He was the gardener, she* said to Him,“ Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you put Him, and I will take Him away.”

When He rose from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from sorrow,
