At that time you will ask me nothing. I tell you the solemn truth, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.

當日、爾曹無所問我、我誠告爾、凡托我名求父、父必賜爾、

當斯日爾曹無所問於我、我誠告爾、凡爾託我名求於父者、父必賜爾、

是日爾將無所問於予矣。予切實語爾爾有所祈於父、父必以予名義、賜之於爾。

In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

When that day comes, you will no longer ask me for anything. What I’m about to tell you is true. My Father will give you anything you ask for in my name.

In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.

At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name.

“ In that day you will not ask me anything. Truly I tell you, anything you ask the Father in my name, he will give you.

And on that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you.

“ And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.

And in that day ye shall ask me no question. Verily, verily, I say unto you, If ye shall ask anything of the Father, he will give it you in my name.

In that day you will not ask Me anything.“ I assure you: Anything you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give[ it] you.

“ In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want, and it will be done for you.

And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.If anyone sees his fellow Christian committing a sin not resulting in death, he should ask, and God will grant life to the person who commits a sin not resulting in death. There is a sin resulting in death. I do not say that he should ask about that.

And whatever you ask in prayer, if you believe, you will receive.”

Before they even call out, I will respond; while they are still speaking, I will hear.

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus,by the fresh and living way that he inaugurated for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh,and since we have a great priest over the house of God,let us draw near with a sincere heart in the assurance that faith brings, because we have had our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.And let us hold unwaveringly to the hope that we confess, for the one who made the promise is trustworthy.

You will know at that time that I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in you.

“ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you.

At that time you will ask in my name, and I do not say that I will ask the Father on your behalf.

I no longer call you slaves, because the slave does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because I have revealed to you everything I heard from my Father.You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that remains, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.

Jesus could see that they wanted to ask him about these things, so he said to them,“ Are you asking each other about this– that I said,‘ In a little while you will not see me; again after a little while, you will see me’?

Simon Peter said to him,“ Lord, where are you going?” Jesus replied,“ Where I am going, you cannot follow me now, but you will follow later.”Peter said to him,“ Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you!”

( My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.) But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous One,

so that through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

For this reason I kneel before the Father,from whom every family in heaven and on the earth is named.I pray that according to the wealth of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person,that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, so that, because you have been rooted and grounded in love,you may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,and thus to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.Now to him who by the power that is working within us is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think,

Thomas said,“ Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?”

“ Lord,” Judas( not Judas Iscariot) said,“ what has happened that you are going to reveal yourself to us and not to the world?”

So he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.For it is indeed fitting for us to have such a high priest: holy, innocent, undefiled, separate from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.

Therefore since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession.For we do not have a high priest incapable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way just as we are, yet without sin.Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help.

Now we know that you know everything and do not need anyone to ask you anything. Because of this we believe that you have come from God.”

For there is one God and one intermediary between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, himself human,who gave himself as a ransom for all, revealing God’s purpose at his appointed time.

Peter turned around and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them.( This was the disciple who had leaned back against Jesus’ chest at the meal and asked,“ Lord, who is the one who is going to betray you?”)So when Peter saw him, he asked Jesus,“ Lord, what about him?”
